Step 1: Writing
Step 2: Submit (and submit and submit)
Step 3: Get accepted: January 17th, 2014
Step 4: Visit the theater: January 26th, 2014
I won't tell you how long the first 2 steps take.
In between Step 3 and Step 4 (and onto the rest of the steps), SCHMOOZE!! Especially with the people who you'll be working with & who are running the festival.
Consider it part of the investigative process.
The very people who will be there during the run of the show, were performing in a show themselves. They are very good at publicity.
